Coco Peila drops first video off her new album!

Hey folks!

at midnight last night, feminist hip hop artist Coco Peila dropped her first video, and it’s AMAZING!  here’s the video.  Spread the word.  Press release is below.

Enjoy!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Coco Peila releases the music video for her first single from her upcoming EP I Still Love Him: Misses Shoot ‘em Down today. The video places an emotionally and sonically inspiring soundtrack in Oakland’s graffiti-beautified landscape.

Misses Shoot ‘em Down is a song for women and anyone who loves hard hitting Hip Hop pumping out of the speakers in the club or the car. It offers a unique chance for women to avoid choosing between good dance music and a soundtrack that respects them.

Coco Peila is a Feminist/Panther/Hip-hop Heroine from the Bay Area, extending African diasporic experience through the form of hip hop and soul music.

The video for Misses Shoot ‘em Down was directed by Coco Peila, shot by Vanessa “Agana” Espinoza, edited by Odell Hussey & Vanessa “Agana” Espinoza, and choreographed by Alicia Raquel.

The single itself, will be available for download on Friday September, 13th. The online release comes ahead of a video release party hosted by DJ Zita at Oakland’s The Layover on September 27th. The full upcoming EP I Still Love Him: Misses Shoot ‘em Down will be released in early October.
